Our Staff

Dr. Kathy grew up in Fredericksburg, received a B.S. at Duke and her DVM at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Pete (pictured) was a few days old when a Good Samaritan brought him to Just Cats and Kathy took him home. He later suffered from urinary tract issues and underwent perineal urethrostomy surgery. He is her special needs buddy and Kathy is convinced that he would trade her for a rotisserie chicken. She has two grown children, a son in human medicine and a daughter in consulting. Kathy spends a large part of her free time sailing.

Renee is our client services early bird, fielding the morning rush of phone calls and inquiries with patience and understanding. She first joined the Just Cats team in 1998, married her high school sweetheart, then left in 2001 to raise two sons and a daughter before returning to the Just Cats family in 2015. She spends her free time with family pursuing mostly outdoor activities, four wheeling along trails in their ATVs, camping, fishing, and caring for a menagerie of chickens, cows, dogs, and cats at their farm in Orange county.
